The Newest Grouts for Repairs and Construction Projects

So you are in need of some concrete repair services.  Maybe you have a crack that needs to be filled in, or maybe you just want an entirely new surface for your yard?  Well, whether this is the first time you are dealing with a concrete repair or the fiftieth, it is important to know what types of options are available.

Asphalt Concrete Repair Grouts- Types of Options

There are generally four different types of options for concrete repair grouts when it comes to repairing asphalt.   While they may not all be appropriate for your specific situation, here at ACRG we pride ourselves on being able to offer one of these types of repairs no matter what your initial problem was. They include:

1.) Overlay- An overlay is simply the process of taking an existing surface, cleaning it thoroughly, and then apply a brand new layer on top.  If you are looking to make your pavement look “brand new” again this is generally the best bet.  It may be beneficial in some cases to clean the old pavement first, but not always necessary.

2.) Crack Filling- If there are cracks in your concrete that need to be filled up, then crack filling them is probably going to be the way to go.  This can even include breaks that might be small enough for concrete leveling, depending on how bad they are.   When these sorts of repairs are done correctly they tend to last longer than other options so it is definitely a great option if you would like to keep your concrete around for a while.

3.) Micro Topping- Micro topping is generally done on top of another layer of concrete and is fairly similar to overlay.  The only difference is the fact that micro-topping is not actually adding an entirely new layer, but rather filling in some of the cracks and rough spots on the existing surface so it becomes slightly smooth again.

4.) Concrete Leveling- Sometimes when there are larger gaps in between two slabs of concrete there might be a need to simply fill them in with more concrete before doing anything else.  This can even include large dips or holes where water has been seeping through and causing damage over time.   While it might not solve the problem entirely, sometimes this is all it takes to make your pavement usable again.

These are generally the most common types of concrete repair grouts from Bayset that can be used to repair asphalt, however, there are other options as well.  For example, if you are looking for something similar to tarmac which involves using gravel or stones on top of your existing concrete then just let us know and we will do everything in our power to find the best solution for the job.
